Buckfastleigh is a small market town situated beside the A38 Devon Expressway, providing a direct link to the cities of Plymouth and Exeter as well as the M5, which makes it a great location for commuters. The town itself has a Primary school, Health centre, Post office, Newsagent and Co-Operative store, along with a variety of cafes, shops, and pubs.
The town offers a wide range of tourist attractions, such as an open-air swimming pool, the historic Buckfast Abbey and grounds, Pennywell Farm, the Butterfly and Otter sanctuary and the South Devon Railway.
The Norman town of Totnes is approximately 7 miles away providing a wide range of amenities and shops, including a mainline railway station getting to London Paddington in approximately 3 hours.
This well presented three-bedroom terrace cottage is deceptively spacious, with three good sized bedrooms two of which are doubles, a large yet cosy living room and a lovely bright modern fitted kitchen. Located a stone`s throw from Buckfastleigh town centre, and within walking distance of the local primary school and medical centre.
On entering you are greeted with a good-sized living room, which has a beautiful high quality wood floor with underfloor heating and a stone fireplace complete with log burner. The room has been laid out to a comfy living space with plenty of room for living room furniture, as well as space for a dining table. There is also bespoke made built in shelving storage. This room is a comfortable and well-presented room, perfect for the whole family to spend time in.
To the left-hand side of the stable style entrance door, is the modern fitted kitchen. The kitchen has a range of fitted cupboards along with an integrated electric cooker and gas hob, and space for fridge and freezer.
There is also a sperate utility room located at the rear of the property, this has plenty of space for both a washing machine, tumble dryer and additional white goods if required. There is also space in the utility room to store outdoor items such as bikes and paddleboards.
On the first floor there are the three bedrooms. The master bedroom is a generous size, which has a light and spacious feel due to the raised apex ceiling. There is plenty of space for a large double bed as well as free standing furniture. The master bedroom also benefits from a modern fitted en suite shower room.
The second room is also a generous double. It is current set out as a music room, complete with sound proofing. However, it can easily be transferred back to a bedroom, and the soundproofing can be removed as it is only attached by wooden battens.
There is the third bedroom which is currently being used as a studio/workspace. This room would easily accommodate a single bed, along with additional furniture.
On this floor there is a large additional storage/cupboard space. This also houses the gas combination boiler.
The family bathroom is downstairs and comes with a modern fitted white suite and shower over bath.
Having been sympathetically renovated over several years, this attractive cottage has a huge amount to offer. Finished to a high standard, neutrally decorated, and immaculately presented, it is perfect for first time buyers, and has plenty of space for a growing family, or someone looking to downsize. The current owner updated the double glazing in 2020 and had the chimney partially rebuilt and lined in 2021.
