Buckfastleigh is a small market town situated beside the A38 Devon Expressway, providing a direct link to the cites of Plymouth and Exeter as well as the M5, which makes it a great location for commuters. The town itself has a Primary school, Health centre, Post office, Newsagent and Co-Operative store, along with a variety of cafes, shops and pubs.
The town offers a wide range of tourist attractions, such as an open air swimming pool, the historic Buckfast Abbey and grounds, Dart Rock climbing centre, Pennywell Farm, the Butterfly and Otter sanctuary and the South Devon Railway.
The Norman town of Totnes is approximately 7 miles away providing a wide range of amenities and shops, including a mainline railway station getting to London Paddington in approximately 3 hours.
This quaint two bedroom cottage sits in a private tucked away location along the Plymouth Road. The property benefits from a shared courtyard garden and is a short level walk into Buckfastleigh town centre. It comes complete with gas central heating and double glazing. This cottage would make a perfect starter home or investment.
You enter the property via a covered porchway area. As you step in the front door you are greeted by the generous sized living room, this room has a feature stonewall and benefits from a wood burning stove. There is plenty of space for lounge furniture as well as a dining table.
The living room leads through to the kitchen, this is a bright room which benefits from a courtyard outlook. There is a range of modern floor and wall mounted units finished with a wooden worktop. There is an integrated electric cooker and hob, along with space for a slim line dishwasher, washing machine and fridge-freezer. The gas boiler is also located here.
Upstairs the master bedroom is good in size and offers plenty of space for freestanding furniture. The single bedroom would be perfect for bespoke cabin bed, and would also make great home office/studio space. The bathroom offers a white suite with electric shower over the bath.
Outside the shared courtyard offers space for a table and chairs along with room for pots and planters should you wish. There is also a good size wooden shed. This property has a lot to offer and has to be seen to be fully appreciated.
